After I create a text box, I can't get rid of the border that is automatically created. I've tried to use the "none" setting under Borders but it doesn't work.

I have been using tables in Word for years - all of a sudden, there are no gridlines in any of my documents with tables although it indicates "Show gridlines" in the TABLE pull-down menu - I am wondering what has happened and what to do?

According to the ruler at top of page, my typed text should be 7 in. wide, but when printed, it's only 5 in wide and doesn't go to right side margin

Big problem - with a table Page one of the document only shows lines 1 and 2 - which are the heading rows. Page 2 works fine - showing both header and the remaining rows.

Using a table in a header or footer always inserts a paragraph return after the table. This has the effect of making the header and footer taller (bigger) than defined. Is there any way to leave the table but remove the following paragraph mark?
