Is there a way in Word to not print the grids of a formatted table and
only the text?

I have  "records" that contain varying number of lines of text in each
record. Each line has a carriage return at the end (^p). Each record is
separated by two carriage returns (or I could put in a delimeter such as the
pipe symbol on this line if it helps).

Subject says it all, really.

Is there a method or property that will let me get the width of the whole
table?  I tried looping through all the columns and adding the widths, but
that failed with merged cells.
