Is it possible to have a formula that can refrence text in another table? For example, in Table1 B1 equals John . Can I write a formula in Table2 D4 that will display the result John ? Every formula I try is numerical not alpha.

Hi, I have a word document with a variety of tables in it. I am trying to count the number of times a string of letters appear. In excel I would simply select the field and use the countif, but can't do this in word! Can anyone help please?

In Word 2003 I am printing a mail merge document with a table and the table prints the formula instead of the answer. On screen it gives me the number but when printed it give =PRODUCT(C2,E2) \#"$#,##0.00;(s#,##0.00)" What is up with that?
