I want to create a small table of about 10 items then send it out in email so that the responders could type in their information on the table and send back to me. Any ideas how to format the table so that would work?

We work with very large documents which are compiled by many authors. We utilize Word 2003 and OS XP. Here is the problem: It is almost always with the tables that get currupted (i.e., our styles do not behave right in the table) when one or more of the following has occurred:

I use word 2000 and 2003. A table extends over two or three pages. It starts in the middle of page 1 after I've typed a bunch of words. The first line consists of headings, I skip a line and below that I type information in multiple rows. Then page 2, 3 etc appear.

How do I select the colour and style of the border before I draw the table? As far as I can see this option only comes up in Table Tools after I have drawn the table – Insert tab, table icon, draw table. This used to be possible in earlier versions.
